We’re all set for virtual classrooms

We’re all set for virtual classrooms for learning Tamil ! Due to the prevailing situation (COVID-19), we have decided to NOT have in-person classes. To help our kids to continue to learn Tamil, we are happy to announce that starting from today we will be having virtual classrooms for all our 4 locations. This will enable our 420+ students across 32 classes to continue learning Tamil. We are very thankful to our teachers(volunteers) for their willingness and support for this new initiative. Thanks to Google for providing ‘Google G suite‘ for Education!

Covid19 Update: ATC will remain closed until further notice

Vanakkam Parents, We all going through some tough days of our time. Please stay safe and stay home with social distancing in mind, let’s feel proud ourselves on this act of social distancing as part of our possible small community service to stop spreading. Also, let us use this social distancing time to encourage our kids to interact with relatives with more frequently over the phone to improve their Tamil speaking skills. Some of you aware that we’ve tried last week for classes 6, 7 & 8 via online lessons. This is to help the kids learning continuity to move forward and enrich their Tamil knowledge. Please look out for our further information from Avvai, as we are planning and working hard on extending online lessons to a few more levels to all our schools. We expect your cooperation in this regard and let’s try to learn our Thamizh mozhi in a fun way via online.

Tamil School (all 4 locations) will remain closed on Sunday, March 15, 2020

Vanakam Parents, Due to the March 11, 2020 announcement by the World Health Organization that the outbreak of the new coronavirus has been declared a pandemic, updated announcements by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the decision of the majority of the ISD in North Dallas area to extent the spring break by a week and out of an abundance of caution, we are cancelling the class scheduled for Sunday, March 15th 2020. Public health officials have not yet made this a requirement. Nevertheless, given all that we know and what we can anticipate based on information from local, state and national agencies, we believe this is the most prudent course of action at this time. Please care for yourself, your family and those around you, and continue to adhere to the preventative measures as recommended by public health officials, such as limiting interaction and practicing social distancing. Visit the CDC website for more information: The information from CDC on prevention steps is attached to this email. We are evaluating alternatives to in-person class and we are constantly monitoring the developments and will let you know of any decisions taken as the situation develops and/or changes. Please check our website and facebook page for updates:
